I normally take more photos but I was extremely hungry and forgot to, mb team. I highly recommend you get reservations by calling in there is not a lot of room in this establishment. The selection is amazing compared to a lot of other shabu shabu or hotspot places. You order on an iPad and the food starts appearing at your table. There is a 20% gratuity for groups which is very fair and nothing crazy. I recommend you get the premium and make sure to finish with ice cream before the timer ends ⏲ ‼.

We really enjoy the food there, but on several occasions our order did not come out. We waited for over 10 minutes and eventually had to ask the server. This has happened a few times, where the food we ordered simply didn’t arrive. We also noticed that the two staff members working that day—a woman and a man—seemed unhappy. The woman placed the food on our table in a way that felt a bit abrupt, and the man at the counter did not acknowledge us. We think you should improve the service and also make sure the food comes out as the customer requests

I had a wonderful experience at Blue Sakura. The menu offerings were as advertised, I really enjoyed the flavorful broth alongside the premium beef and fresh vegetables. The wide variety of options were able to cover what I typically go for, while leaving some room to try new things as well. I really liked the creativity you bring to the dim sum plates, it was really unique. As someone who grew up having homemade hotpot nights once a week, this restaurant definitely reminded me of home. The service was also spot on. All staff members were very attentive and quick with our food. Everyone was very friendly, and I felt right at home with how hospitable the staff were. Overall, a very positive experience, and reasonably priced for how much food and variety is given. I will visit again soon.

Went to the store on NYE for lunch. The service was good and quick as an AYCE. There are a lot of options including the appetizers, dim sum, meat, seafood, veggies and tofu products. There are also quite some options for soup base. There is a 90 minutes limit, and you order on the tablet. Some of my observations: 1. The crab legs are quite good in quality, comparing to other AYCE restaurants. 2. The meat is thin sliced, but is still high quality meat, unlike some other AYCE restaurants. 3. The soup bases (we ordered the spicy one), is not spicy enough for us, although this is just my personal preferences. 4. The service is nice. They bring the food quickly after we order, and clean up the empty dishes in a timely manner. 5. The dim sum exceeds my expectation. 6. Each dish has a small portion, which is great. You are able to try multiple dishes without having to finish eating something that you like less. 7. The soft drinks are included and self-served. Overall, I'm satisfied with my choice to go to this place and try their AYCE as our last dine-in in 2024. BTW, the parking in that area is mostly sufficient. Meter parking takes < $5 for 2 hours.

Ok I should preface this review with the fact that I have not dined in! I live locally and have ordered take out multiple times now. This is my new favorite take out spot and I have to get in there to try their hot pot and AYCE which seems really fairly priced. Their soups are flavorful (I’m addicted to the spicy miso), their buns are both delicious and adorable, and their staff is so friendly! They were out of a specific bun I had ordered this time and so they replaced it with a comparable bun AND an extra complimentary one. Great spot!

Blue Sakura Shabu All You Can Eat, located in Allston, MA, offers a vibrant and satisfying hotpot experience that feels both authentic and inviting. As a food reviewer, I was captivated by the restaurant’s seamless blend of variety, quality, and interactive dining. The use of tablets for ordering streamlines the experience, allowing diners to explore a broad selection of appetizers, premium thin-sliced meats, fresh seafood like quality crab legs, crisp vegetables, and unique dim sum plates that stand out with creative flair.

The flavorful broths serve as a comforting foundation, with options that cater to different spice preferences, although some might find the spicy broth milder than expected. Portions come in smaller sizes, a smart touch that encourages sampling a wide array of dishes without the pressure to overeat—a true gourmet playground for shabu shabu lovers. The inclusion of soft drinks, self-served, complements the meal well, adding convenience.

What truly enhances the Blue Sakura experience is not just the food but the hospitality. Many reviewers praise the attentive and quick service, making the dining feel warm and personal despite the bustling all-you-can-eat environment. The restaurant can get busy, so making reservations is advised, especially given the limited seating. Reasonable gratuity policies and a fair price point round out what feels like a locally cherished spot.

My impression of Blue Sakura Shabu All You Can Eat is of a place where quality ingredients meet thoughtful presentation and efficient service, anchored by an engaging dining concept. It evokes a comforting sense of tradition while inviting diners to discover new favorites. Ending the meal with their ice cream under the 90-minute timer is a sweet note of satisfaction that leaves you planning your next visit.
